Berkeley Family Practice Medical Group

The American Academy of Family Practice website can help you learn more about your illness, about drug interactions, and about self-care. We highly recommend it.  The American Academy of Family Physicians is the national association of family doctors. It is one of the largest national medical organizations, with more than 93,500 members in 50 states, D.C., Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, and Guam.  The Academy was founded in 1947 to promote and maintain high quality standards for family doctors who are providing continuing comprehensive health care to the public.

The National Library of Medicine is the world's largest medical library.  PubMed, a service of the National Library of Medicine, provides access to over 12 million MEDLINE citations back to the mid-1960's and additional life science journals. PubMed includes links to many sites providing full text articles and other related resources. This website provides access to the latest medical information through MedlinePlus. The content can be too advanced and complex for the hurried user, but for someone desiring the most in-depth knowledge, this is the place.
